Cleaning dewatering devices

Cleaning dewatering devices

Dewatering devices such as belt filter presses and rotary vacuum drum filters are used with a slurry mix to separate liquids from solids.  Rotary vacuum drums utilize a rotating drum in combination with some sort of mechanical scraper to separate the solids from the liquid.  A belt filter press utilizes belts to squeeze the liquid out of a slurry.  Over time, these solids will build up and, without proper cleaning, uneven removal (streaking) or clogging can occur, thus lowering efficiency.

Lechler precision-made Series 422/423 Tangential Full Cone nozzles can be counted on to produce the results that you require with a variety of flow rates which can deliver the necessary throughput needed to effectively and efficiently clean the Demister Pad material, typically a wire mesh or fiber bed.

Cleaning packing columns

Cleaning packing columns

Packing Columns are typically found in the Petrochemical industry and can be a critical application where the nozzle (with appropriate orientation) must spray a pattern with even distribution across the packing material for a complete wash.  Droplet size is not as important as complete, effective cleaning of the packing material.  Furthermore, many plants have carbon steel piping or even process sedimentation that can clog a nozzle and cause failure or a an indeterminate spray pattern.  Either scenario results in an ineffective washing of packing material.  Hence, a nozzle that has maximum clog resistance can be highly desirable for the application involving the cleaning of Packing Columns.

Desuperheating

Desuperheating

Desuperheating (Quenching) is found in many industries, but it is commonly found in Refineries, Petrochemical and Chemical plants.  Desuperheating can be a critical application where improper micron droplet size can potentially cause thermal shock.  Desuperheating nozzles are used to cool Superheated Steam into a Saturated Steam state.  Certain applications, such as heat exchangers, require reduced temperatures and pressure for optimum steam energy transfer.

Stainless Steel and Glass-Lined Reactors are typically found in API and Specialty Chemical production. The size of SS and Glass Lined reactors can vary from 50 gallons to over 5,000 gallons, and often agitators, dip tubes, coils and baffles are encountered, which can make effective cleaning even more of a challenge. This would also mean that it is important to choose the right tank cleaning nozzle which can effectively clean your reactor, yet do so efficiently so that it minimizes cycle time, chemical usage (e.g., caustic solvent) and effluent discharge. It is also clear that choosing the right tank cleaning nozzle can have a big impact on the financial bottom line, and this is where Lechler, with our engineering team, can help you.

Wet gas scrubber

Wet gas scrubber

Spray nozzles placed in towers are used to spray absorbent into gas flow with the objective of absorbing a special component from the gas.  Another key factor in the success of any Wet Gas Scrubber application is the even and complete distribution of sprayed fluid that Lechler nozzles provide.

Lechler's 5TM High Impact indexing type machine can be used to clean the largest, most critical, and most demanding fermentation tank applications. It removes the need for manual cleaning. The machine systematically rotates through the tank, cleaning all 360º of it in each cycle.
