ScaleMaster® Descale Nozzle
After spending decades in steel mills, Lechler has incorporated all the features that hot strip and plate operators demand. ScaleMaster can give better surface quality using less water and energy than conventional designs. Its design allows for easy maintenance and low operating costs.
The tip assembly is self aligning in the base for optimum position and overlap every time with no manual adjustment. The tip can be remounted one-handed for hard-to-reach installations.

The unit consists of the following components:

• retainer cap
  
• carbide tip assembly
  
• strainer/flow stabilizer
  
• gasket
  
• weld base

All the components work with any of the tips, so no specific cap or strainer is required. The gasket should be replaced when installing a new tip for positive sealing at the high pressures used in descaling. The strainer can be reused; however, it should be inspected for wear or damage before reinstallation with a new tip.

Flat Fan Descale Nozzle
Scale is formed during the hot rolling of ferrous metals. Optimum descaling effect is a prerequisite to fine product finish and low maintenance costs. Descaling systems incorporating Lechler descaling nozzles have proven very successful over many years. The high pressure, flat fan spray leaves the scale no chance of remaining on the product due to the knife-like edge of the hard-hitting, uniform spray pattern. Lechler precision descaling nozzles are the best tools for smooth, efficient descaling of ingots, slabs, bars, plates, strips, sections, and pipes.
