Lechler’s engineered headers are custom designed and manufactured for your specific application parameters. We also realize that over time these systems wear and require routine maintenance for optimal performance and longevity, which is why we offer in-house refurbishment services as well.

Header Refurbishment
At Lechler, our lab and service center in St. Charles, IL utilizes state-of-the-art equipment to inspect and assess your nozzles for performance and wear for descaling and work roll cooling header systems. Our team of experts will thoroughly inspect your header system, so that we can take the appropriate steps to refurbish your system.
Lechler’s extensive refurbishment program includes:
- Ultrasonic testing to determine sufficient wall thickness given your operating pressure
- Nozzle wear and performance testing
- Bi-carbonate cleaning
- Hydro-static testing to 1.5 times the operating pressure to identify and repair leaks and ensure safe operation
- Replacement of worn nozzles and accessories
- Advisement of latest generation products when applicable
- Final assembly and crating
